Ballinahinch 3-18
Gortnahoe-Glengoole 0-15

in Drombane.

In the fourth round of Group 2, Ballinahinch produced a very strong second half to qualify to the knockout stages of the county championship. Gortnahoe had started brightly using the wind advantage very well, and taking some nice scores. Ballinahinch found it more difficult to put scores on the board with Ger Griffin frees keeping them in touch.

A pivotal moment came twenty minutes into the game was when the corner-forward from Gortnahoe was sent to the line for a second yellow card. While Gortnahoe continued to pressurise Ballinahinch, they found it more difficult to score. The half-time score was 0-11 to 0-07.

At the start of the second-half Ballinahinch rattled off four points in a row to equalise. For the next few minutes Gortnahoe recovered and added some of their own scores. However once Ballinahinch edged in front they powered on to victory. They scored a total of 3-11 to Gortnahoe's 0-4 in the second half to run out easy winners in the end.

Ballinahinch now meet Newport in the final group game. The winner of this game will top the group and qualify for the quarter-finals.
