The U21 footballers won the County 'C' final last Sunday in Annacarty against Emly. The team put in a very strong performance, winning out by 3-08 to 0-11. Leading at half-time 2-02 to 0-04, with goals coming from Frank Troy and David Ryan.
The second half was very competitive, a great save from RJ Ryan kept Emly at bay, while inspirational points for Paddy Kelly and John Ryan kept the scoreboard ticking over for us. Then Brendan Ryan's goal near the end proved vital in finally seeing off Emly.
Congratulations to all the players and mentors involved in a great win.
