By Liam Hogan PRO U-16 'A' Football: Ballina secured their second win following their major victory over Newport/Ballinahinch last Sunday evening. The size of their victory surprised many. As a result they are the only team with full points. The North welcomed Clonakenny to the division when they teamed up with Moneygall for their first game of the year. However the combination's bid to overcome Kilruane MacDonaghs at Cloughjordan last Sunday proved unsuccessful. On Monday evening, Inane Rovers defeated Burgess. Results: Round 1: Inane Rovers 2-7 Ballina 4-7 Round 2: Ballina 6-10 Newport/Ballinahinch 0-8; Kilruane MacDonaghs 5-6 Moneygall/Clonakenny 3-1; Inane Rovers 3-4 Burgess 1-4 U-14 Peil: There are three teams entered in the U-14 Peil competition for this year. The competition will be played in MacDonagh Park, Cloughjordan on this coming Saturday, March 26th. The throw-in for the Semi final is at 11am.The full schedule is- Kilruane MacDonagh v Newport/Ballinahinch @ 11am Final: Winners of semi final v Nenagh Éire Óg @ 12.15pm U-14 Féile: Six teams will feature in this year's Féile Na Gael Hurling. Two quarter finals are planned for April 2nd. Ballylooby hosted the U-14 competition. North Tipperary played Mid Tipp in the semi final but lost by fifteen points. The Shield Final beckoned but North met a stiff test in West Tipp. Well done to the team.
