U13 'A' Hurling Plate
Final: Newport/Ballinahinch 2-3 Moneygall 1-4 Newport/Ballinahinch did enough in the first half to claim the first ever U13 'A' Hurling Plate competition when they defeated Moneygall at Toomevara last Monday night week. Goals by Evan Hannon and Sean Belfry gave the Mulcairesiders a 2-2 to 0-1 lead at the break. But Moneygall produced a real battle in the second half. A goal by Dylan Maher reduced the margin but in the end, the Newport/Ballinahinch defence did enough to save the day.
