Minor: Hard luck to Ballinahinch Gaels who lost the North 'B' hurling final to Portroe last Sunday in Dolla. Portroe proved to strong for us on the day 3-15 to 1-12. See match report for more details. In a busy week for the minors they were also defeated by Borrisokane in the North 'B' football semi-final last Tuesday night. A huge effort was put in throughout the year by this group of players and their respective management teams and they were unfortunate not to win some silverware.

Primary School GAA: Best of luck to our young GAA stars who have reached the North Tipperary School's football final. They will now play Lorrha in the final on Wednesday of this week. Good luck to everyone involved.

Tipperary Schools Cross-Country Championships: Congratulations & well done to all the boys & girls who participated in the County Schools cross country championships in Thurles last week. Over two thousand three hundred athletes from 85 schools around the county took part. There were some notable performances from our local athletes who represented Ballinahinch School so well. In in girls (3rd. & 4th. Class) race, Aimee Hayde (6th.) & Sarah Finn (11th.) were in great form finishing in the top group. In the boys (3rd. & 4th. Class) race, Adam Ryan (12th.) & Liam King (20th.) were also in great form & they both also finished in their top group. Pride of place goes to Thea Curtain who won the gold medal in the girls (5th. & 6th. Class) race. Thea won this race from a field of over 150 athletes, which made this achievement all the greater. Congratulations to Thea, Aimee, Sarah, Adam, Liam & indeed to all the other Ballinahinch athletes who took part and ran so well at these championships.

Tipperary Co. Draw: Congratulations to Joe & Nancy Fitzgerald who both won €500 each in the Tipp. draw last Friday night. Well done to Joe & Nancy.
