Fr. Minihan Cup: We played Ballina in the final of this North Intermediate competition last Sunday in Dolla. We lost out by two-points in the end 1-07 to 0-08. Having played well in the first half, we were leading by 6points to two at half time. We started well in the second half scoring two more points, our lead was hauled back with Ballina getting the goal midway through the second half. We failed to add to our tally after this and Ballina went on win the title for the second year in a row. It gives us plenty to build on for the county league and championship, the draw for which was made last week. We play Sean Treacy's next weekend in Shallee, with Moyne Templetouhy, St. Mary's and Ballina also in the group. The North championship opens with a game against Silvermines fixed for middle of May. The draw for the junior league was also made where we play Burgess in the first round.
