Handball: Well done to all the players who participated in the North Tipperary juvenile handball championships over the weekend, which were hosted in two venues, Ballinahinch & Newport. There were many exciting & entertaining matches & I believe that handball in North Tipperary is presently on an upward curve. This year, the Ballinahinch club participated in most age groups, from U-10 to U-17 & performed admirably in all matches. The North finals will be held soon & the club would like to wish the best of luck to Karl Kelly & Nathan Lennihan (U-10 Doubles), Sean Carolan (U-10 singles), Gerry Foley (U-16 singles), Daragh McGrath & Kevin Mulcahy (U-16 Doubles),Thomas Kennedy & Sean Finn (U-17 Doubles) & Paddy Kelly (U-17 singles). It is a great tribute to Gerry Foley (Snr.) & Paul Hynes that our club is in such a position to be chosen to host such competition. Well done to Gerry & Paul. Thanks also to Denis & Catherine Lennihan & Paddy Harrington for all their help over the weekend.

Athletics : Well done to Tom Hennessy on a fine performance recently, in the final cross country championships event of the year, held in Tullamore. It is a huge commitment to maintain such a high standard throughout the season & Tom has once again maintained his high standard throughout. Well done Tom. Well done also to the Lynch Family, Emer & Patrick, on what was surely a fantastic year for them both, with Emer's success in the National finals earlier in the year & with Patrick winning the "Munster Athlete Of The Year" award. Again there is huge commitment involved & it is great credit to you all, & your parents for all their support.

Academics: Congratulations & well done to Pauric Hennessy who recently received his Masters Degree at a ceremony in U.L. We hear that you looked well in the black dress.
