Intermediate: We were well beaten by Silvermines in championship last weekend. We performed well in the first half, however Silvermines dominated the second half to run out winners. Our next two games against Ballina and Shannon Rovers are now vital to qualify for the knockout stages.

Junior: We defeated Knockshegowna in our final group game last week. Knockshe' were the better team in the first half going in ahead 1-12 to 2-04. Two goals from Denis Kearns keeping us in the game. A much improved second-half performance by Ballinahinch, with goals from Denis Kearns again and David Ryan, bringing us back into the game. We went ahead with five minutes remaining, however with Knockshe' down to 14 men they produced a great score to equalise, but Raphael Ryan had final say with a goal in injury time to win the game on a scoreline of 5-08 to 1-17. This win meant we finished top of the group with four wins from five games. We play Knockshegowna in the semi-final, where another tight game is expected.

Minor: Best of luck to Newport Gaels who play the first round of the North Tipperary 'B' hurling championship against Moneygall/Clonakenny this Thursday evening.

Lotto: There was no winner of last weeks (20th June) lotto jackpot of EUR4,400. The numbers drawn were 6-13-18-28. Full details of lucky dip winners are available on the club website.

Munster Final: Anyone who is looking to attend the Munster final between Tipperary and Waterford, should contact Dermot Bourke before the 3rd July to order tickets.
