Intermediate: The last group game of the North championship was played last Saturday in Cloughjordan. Following a close first half we pulled away in the final 10mins of the game to defeat Shannon Rovers (See match report) and qualify for the North Semi-final where we play Ballina. This game will be played mid-September.

Minor: Ballinahinch Gaels hurlers had a big win against Burgess last week in the North 'B' 4th Round. They now top the group with two group games remaining before the knockout stages. They play Borrisokane this week, check fixtures for details.

U16: Hard luck to all involved with Kildangan Gaels who were defeated by Roscrea in the North 'A' hurling quarter final 1-16 to 2-07 played last week.

U-8 Hurling Blitz: Well done to all our boys & girls who took part in the U-8 blitz in Burgess on Friday evening last.

Fr. Gallagher Memorial Tournament: takes place this coming Saturday 1st Sept. All eligible players should contact Cormac McGrath, to register before Saturday. This annual event is now in it's third successful year & hopefully it will continue for many more years to come.

National Community Games Finals: Congratulations & well done to Emma Hennessy, who represented our parish in the National Community Games, Girls U-16 High Jump finals in Athlone last weekend.

Lotto: There was no winner of last weeks (21st Aug) lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 9, 16, 21, 26 and the jackpot now stands at €4,750.
