U12: Shannon Rovers defeated our U12 hurlers in a high scoring game (5-5 to 3-9) last Friday night..

Intermediate: We lost to Clonakenny in the third round of the hurling championship last week. We were down 2-06 to 1-07 at half-time, Clonakenny started the second half in quick fashion scoring two goals. The never relinquished this lead and won in the end 4-10 to 1-11. We play Ballybacon in the last game and require a victory to put us in contention to qualify from the group. The North championship is next on the fixture list, we are scheduled to play Newport in the early June.

Junior: Lorrha defeated us in the final game of the North hurling league in Shallee last Saturday on a score of 2-19 to 1-13. The team competed well in all the games throughout the campaign and will hope to improve results for the championship.

Lotto: There was no winner of last week’s lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 2, 4, 6, 30. This weeks jackpot is €5,150.

Munster hurling: Best of luck to Shane McGrath and the Tipperary senior hurlers in the Munster semi-final against Limerick next Sunday.
