Athletics: Well done again to all our local athletes who contested the Munster U-14 to U-19 Indoor finals in Nenagh last weekend. We had some great personal performances from Conor Lynch, James Lynch, Thea Curtain, Tom & Emma Hennessy. Medals are always difficult to win at Munster competitions, but our athletes managed to bag a few: Emma won bronze in long jump & high jump; Conor won bronze in 400m; Tom won silver in high jump & gold in 800m. Tom had a very impressive win in his 800m & finished a staggering 3 seconds clear of his nearest rival. Well done to all our athletes. Spelling Competition: Congratulations to Tom Anderson who has been chosen to represent Ballinahinch National school in an upcoming inter-schools competition. Best of luck to Tom & well done on representing the school. |
