U14: In the North hurling ‘B’ championship, Newport Gaels play Shannon Rover Gaels this Wednesday (23rd) in Ballinderry at 6.30pm. It is a top of the table clash with a place in the knockout stages still up for grabs.

 

Minor: Newport Gaels play Nenagh Eire Og in Templederry this Thursday (24th) at 7pm in the North ‘A’ hurling championship. The Gaels have won their first two games, and will hope for another strong performance against Nenagh who have won their three games to date.

 

Inter-county: Best of luck to Shane McGrath and the Tipperary Senior Hurling team against Dublin this weekend in the All-Ireland Quarter-Final.
