Minor: Well done to Newport Gaels (Ballinahinch/Newport combo) on their victory in the North 'A' Football final last week. They defeated Ballina 2-09 to 2-03. See match report for more details. Best of luck to them in the county series.

Junior: Despite a big effort from all the players the 'B' hurlers lost out to Kilruane in a high scoring game last Sunday in Cloughjordan. Final score 4-16 to 2-16. Training continues for all players this week. We are due to play Ballina this Friday (24th) in Shallee.

Lotto: There was no winner of last weeks (13th May) club lotto. The numbers drawn were 1, 7, 11, 17. Thanks to all for your continued support.

Tipperary Draw: The first draw of the 2013/2014 season will now take place on Friday 31st. May. We would urge all promoters to try to use this opportunity to encourage new membership. Anyone wishing to join the draw can contact any of our local promoters or T.J. McLoughlin.

Munster Schools Athletics: Well done to all our local athletes who qualified & competed in the Munster Schools championships, in Cork I.T. last weekend. Congratulations to Tom Hennessy, Patrick Lynch & Emma Hennessy on some great medal winning performances. Tom won double bronze in his 400 & 800m; Patrick won bronze in his 100m sprint & Emma won gold in her High Jump with a new pb of 1.56m & silver in her triple jump. She also won gold in the 4 x 100m relay with her team mates from St. Mary's School, Newport. Well done to all.

Ennis Track A.C Open Day: Well done to Sean Carolan who competed at the Ennis Athletic Club Open Day last weekend, winning his U-13 Long Jump, silver in U-13 600m, Gold in U-14 Shot Putt & bronze in U-15 Javelin.
