North Tipperary Bord na nOg Notes By Tommy Shanahan PRO U-12 Hurling group 1 All rounds of Group 1 U-12 hurling are now complete. Roscrea have topped the group with a max 8 pts and will play the winners of the quarter final game between Nenagh Eire Og and Kilruane McDonaghs. In the second semi-final, Kildangan who finished with 6 pts will play Toomevara who finished with 4 pts. U-12 Hurling Group 2 All rounds are now complete in group 2 with Silvermines and Borrisoleigh level with 10 points. Borrisoleigh will qualify for the semi-finals. Shannon Rovers with 8 points and Borrisokane and Newport 5 points, Burgess 4 points, Ballina with no points. The quarter final pairings will see Silvermines V Ballina, Shannon Rovers V Burgess and Borrisokane V Newport. U-12 Hurling group 3 Lorrha have topped the group with a max of 8 pts and will play the winners of the quarter final game between Ballinahinch and Templederry. Portroe who have 6 pts will play Moneygall who finished with 5 pts in the second semi-final. U-12 Hurling group 4 Roscrea have topped the group with a maximum of 10 pts. Kilruane and Kildangan have 6 pts and will play off to see who will finish in second position. Toomevara have 4 pts. The top two teams will go to semi-finals and the remaining 4 teams will play in the quarter finals. The quarter finals will see Toomevara V Ballina and the losers of Kildangan and Kilruane V Nenagh U-12 Semi Finals and Finals All U-12 Finals will be played on the weekend of 11th August in Ballinderry. All quarter finals to be played by Friday 20th July and all semi-finals to be played on or before Friday 27th July. U-14 A Hurling In the u-14 A Championship Kilruane and Newport Gaels have topped the group and both have qualified for the Semi-finals, The first 1/4 final will see Moneygall at home to Roscrea with the winners playing Newport Gaels, In the second Nenagh host Toomevara with the winners to play Kilruane, Both 1/4 finals to be played by July 25th. The North Semi-finals are fixed for 8th August. U-14 B Hurling In group 1 Kildangan and Borrisokane both topped the group and go straight to semi-finals spots, Shannon Rovers will play Ballina with the winners going to the 1/4 final , The losers will play Templederry for a second 1/4 final spot and will be joined by Borrisileigh and Silvermines who were table toppers from group 2, U-16 A hurling With 2 rounds of the U-16 A hurling championship played and producing some high scoring games it promises to be a fascinating intriguing championship, In Round 1 Newport had a goal to spare over Toomevara, Nenagh Eire Og accounted for Kildangan Gaels, While Roscrea defeated Ballina, In Round 2 Kildangan and Newport played a draw Kildangan Gaels 0.13, Newport 1.10, Toomevara easily defeated Roscrea and Nenagh Eire Og accounted for Borrisileigh, Round 3 to be played on Monday next will see Toomevara play Nenagh in Nenagh, Roscrea V Newport in Roscrea, Borrisoleigh V Kildangan Gaels in Borrisoleigh. All to games commence at 7.00pm. U-16 B Hurling In the U-16 B Hurling championship, Shannon Rovers had one point to spare over Lorrha, Templederry defeated Borrisokane, Kilruane defeated Burgess while Ballina defeated Silvermines, Portroe a bye. In Round 3 to be played on Monday next, it will see Shannon Rovers at home to Portroe, Templederry at home to Lorrha, Burgess at home to Borrisokane, Ballina at home to Kilruane and Silvermines a bye.
