U-12 Hurling Premier Go Games Finals: Four U12 Premier Go Game Finals were played at Lorrha last Saturday and provided a very exciting days hurling. The day brought victory to Toomevara, Burgess, Borrisokane and Nenagh Éire Óg.
Former North Bord Secretary, Mrs Josephine Needham, was one of a group of special guests on the day along with Tipperary senior hurler Patrick Maher and U-21 star, Kevin Maher and current Under 21 manager Ken Hogan. After each final, the trio presented medals to both the winners and runners up.
Ken Hogan presented the first set of medals to the finalists of the first game, Group 4, Toomevara v Roscrea and North Bord Chairman, Michael Flynn then presented the cup to the winning captain, Damien Bergin, Toomevara.
Jospehine Needham presented the medals to her native Burgess and captain Ronan Tucker after they won the Group 3 final following a cracking game against Shannon Rovers while both Patrick Maher and Kevin Maher, presented the medals to the winners and runners up of Group 2 and Group1 finals followed by the presenting of silverware to the respective winning captains Jack Larkin, Borrisokane and Jake Morris, Nenagh Eire Og.
The results were as follows:
Group 4 - Toomevara 1-13 Roscrea 3-3. Ref: T.P. Sullivan
Group 3 - Burgess 4-7 Shannon Rovers 3-8. Ref: T.P. Sullivan
Group 2 - Borrisokane 2-6 Moneygall 2-2. Ref: John Cleary
Group 1 - Nenagh Éire Óg 3-11 Kilruane MacDonaghs 1-4. Ref: John Cleary
The Bord would like to sincerely thank Lorrha chairman, Sean Mannion and his team for their organisation and hospitality. The provision of tea and sandwiches made the occasion. Everything was run perfectly. The pitch markings were perfect.
A special thanks also to the teams, teams officials and parents. Also to the Referees and their officials and everyone else who helped out.

U14 'B' Hurling: The first play-off resulted in a big home win for Borrisokane. Final result, Borrisokane 4-11 Shannon Rovers Gaels 0-7. Borrisokane now play Newport/Ballinahinch in the semi final.
As a result of their defeat, Shannon Rovers will now play Templederry on this Thursday in Kilcolman, throw in, 7.00pm. The winners play table toppers Boris-Ileigh in the second semi final. .
