North Tipperary Bord na nÓg News
By Liam Hogan PRO Munster U-16: North Tipperary U-16 Hurlers travel to Knocklong for the group stage of the Munster U16 Hurling championship. It is going to be a tough day for the side as they face stiff opposition from South/East Limerick, Seandún (Cork) and West Waterford in opposition. It is two years since North Tipp last won the title. Last year, they reached the semi final with wins over Limerick City/West, Mid Clare and North Kerry before losing to Mid Tipp 1-11 to 2-6 in the semi final. Mid Tipp went on to win the final against Avondhu. The experience of that semi final game plus the recent win in the Garda Cup should give the experience to produce more good shows
Next Saturday's programme see North Tipp take on South/East Limerick, throw in at 11am. In round 2, North Tipp play Seandun at 12.30pm and face West Waterford in round three at 2pm. The team that tops the group are in to the semi final the following Monday in Mallow.
