U16 ‘A’ Hurling: Eight teams set out to try and take the crown from Nenagh Éire Óg in the U16 ‘A’ grade. Nenagh’s first encounter is at home against Newport/Ballinahinch. Last years runners-up, Toomevara will travel to Roscrea as Borris-Ileigh play at home to Moneygall/Clonakenny. The North Board welcomes the players from Clonakenny into the championship for the first time. Meanwhile the date for Kilruane MacDonaghs game against Ballina, will need to be clarified. Ballina play their County U16 ‘A’ football semi final early next week with Tuesday as the most lightly date. All U16 Football finals are being played on Saturday July 9th. The best of luck to Ballina. Best of luck also to Toomevara in the ‘B’ county semi final.
 
U16 ‘B’ Hurling: Nine teams take part in the Under 16 ‘B’ championship. Last years runners up, Portroe will journey to Nenagh to face Nenagh Éire Óg ‘B’ for their opening game. The remaining three games are made up of Shannon Rovers Gaels athome in Ballinderry for the visit of Burgess, Lorrha are at home to Kildangan. The date for the Templederry v Borrisokane in Templederry is uncertain at this moment. Silvermines have a bye in round 1.
 
U14 ‘A’ Hurling: The two U14 ‘A’ Round 7 games resulted in away wins for Kilruane MacDonaghs and Nenagh Eire Og. U14 ‘B’ Hurling: In Round 7 Newport/Ballinahinch were held to a draw by Shannon Rovers Gaels. Borrisokane, Ballina and Borris-Ileigh each had home victories. The Kildangan v Portroe game scheduled for Friday last was postponed due to weather.
