U14 Hurling: The North U14 hurling championship begins on this Wednesday night with five teams taking part in the U14 'A' and eleven in the 'B' Grade. Holders, Nenagh Éire Óg will have to defend their 'A' crown in the company of Toomevara, Roscrea, Kilruane MacDonaghs and Moneygall. The sky blues will travel to Roscrea for their first game. Toomevara will play hosts to Kilruane MacDonaghs and Moneygall have a bye.
The championship will be run on a league basis and last ten rounds with the teams playing each other home and away.

Borris-Ileigh will defend their U14 'B' title in the strong company of ten other teams. The championship will be run on a league basis with the group of eleven teams staying as one. It's the first time that the Bord will run a championship in such a manner. See Fixtures for details.

Peadar Cummins: The Peadar Cummins Tournament, organised by the Borris-Ileigh Juvenile club will be held in Borrisoleigh on May 28th. U-16 'A' Football: Congrats to Ballina who defeated Nenagh Éire Óg to retain the North U16 'A' football final at Kilcolman last Tuesday evening. The winning captain was Adrian Hanley.
U-16 'C' Football: Well done to Lorrha who captured the North U16 'C'Football final when they defeated Ballina 'B'by 6-12 to 0-2 at Puckane last Monday evening. Full report next week.

U-14 'A' Football: Both semi finals were played last Wednesday and Thursday respectively. The first semi final saw Nenagh Éire Óg ease to a 2-17 to 0-2 win over Kildangan at Puckane. Newport/Ballinahinch defeated Kilruane MacDonagh. The final to fixed at this weeks CCC meeting.

U-14 'B' Football: Semi Finals - Borrisokane 3-2 Shannon Rovers Gaels 1-2; Burgess 0-6 Portroe 0-4. Borrisokane and Burgess will meet in this year's final following their respective wins last Wednesday. The date and venue to be confirmed.

Premier U-12's Football
Group 1: After the final round were completed last week the League table after a full complement of games is as follows. Nenagh 12; Kilruane 10; Kildangan 7; Inane Rovers 7; Moneygall 4; Ballina 2, Newport 0.
The semi finals will be decided at a CCC meeting. It is hoped to play the semi finals and finals on the one date and at the same venues.
Group 2: Borrisokane became the first team to win the Premier U-12 football "Go Games" this year. They defeated Silvermines in the final at Templederry last Saturday morning. The final score read Borrisokane 5-4 Silvermines 3-2.
The semi finals and finals were played on the same morning with Templederry won the plate by defeating Portroe 3-6 to 2-3.
After the finals there was a Medal presentation to all four teams. An exciting day for everyone. Thanks to Templederry club for providing the venue and to referees Mark Gennery and Seamus Tynan. Thanks to the North Bord officials also.
Group 3: It's congrats to Shannon Rovers Gaels who captured the Group 3 title. They defeated Burgess in the final. Lorrha won the Plate final defeating Ballinahinch.

Thanks to both referees Eddie Kennedy and Martin O'Shea and to Borrisokane GAA for the use of Gardiner Park. The four teams received their medals after the finals. County Final: The County Finals of the Premier Football 12's will be staged on May 21 in Thurles. Eight teams, the finalists in the respective four groups will represent the North Division.
