Lady luck continued to bring good fortune to the area adding further to the showering of valuable 'Lotto'* and 'Super Draw' prizes for some in the district during the final weeks of 2012.
The latest awards have been a new car worth EUR10,000 in the County Draw and a Lotto cash jackpot of EUR6,250 both linked to supporters of Ballinahinch GAA Club in recent weeks.

Within recent years there have been numerous cars and large cash prizes won by supporters of the Tipperary County GAA Draw through the clubs at Newport and Ballinahinch, including two major successes earlier in 2012.

But the omen of lady luck smiling on the participants in the area continued right through to the end of the year with another super prize success in the county draw, hot on the heels of the long running jackpot in the local club Lotto being scooped.

In the latest round, Patsy McNamara, Ballykinalee, Newport was presented with a cheque for EUR10,000 in lieu of the Super Prize car which he won in the December Tipperary County GAA Draw by Tipperary County GAA Board Secretary, Tim Floyd at An Bonnan Bui at Ballinahinch.
Making the presentation he congratulated the winner and said that Ballinahinch GAA Club continued to benefit from strong support in the area for the county draw, with half of the proceeds of the membership through the club returned to the club finances each year.

He remarked that participants in the general Ballinahinch, Newport and Birdhill areas continued to benefit from success above average in the county draw with several of the cars being awarded in the draw having been won by people in the general area in recent years.

A few evenings earlier, one of the winners of a car in the county draw in recent years was again benefiting from her continued good luck after scooping the jackpot in the Ballinahinch GAA Club Lotto. Michelle Kennedy, Newport was presented with a cheque for EUR6,250 by Sean Ryan, Chairman, Ballinahinch GAA Club. Congratulating Michelle on her win he wished her continued success with her winning way. The presentation took place at Ryan's Bar, Killoscully.
