U21: Well done to all involved with Newport Gaels football team, they won the North ‘A’ football title last Saturday in Newport. They defeated Kildangan 2-07 to 0-10. Having led 2-06 to 0-06 at half time, with goals coming from Daragh McGrath and David Ryan. The second half required a great defensive display to ensure victory. Best of luck in the county series now. Intermediate: The hurlers began their County league campaign with a win over Rockwell Rovers in New Inn last Sunday morning. The final score was 1-16 to 1-07. Kilsheelan-Kilcash are next up in the league in Shallee, this Sunday at 11am. Lotto: Our lotto draw continues every week. There was no winner of our jackpot last week so it moves up to €9,250. This week’s draw takes place in Ryan’s Bar, Killoscully on Thursday night Mar 12th. Membership: Membership for 2015 can now be paid to club Registrar or Treasurer. Membership rates remain the same for 2015 at €40 for adult & €20 for students. As per document presented to our players meeting all players are requested to have their membership paid by Tuesday March 17th. We also invite new members to join the club for 2015 and particularly for our player base it is vital to have membership up to date.
