CLUB NOTES 2nd March 2015

 U-21 Football: Newport Gaels take on Kildangan in the North ‘A’ final which is fixed for this Saturday Mar 7th at 3pm, in Newport. Please support the team as they look to win the first silverware of 2015.

Co.IHL: Our Co.IHL 1st rd game last Sunday v Rockwell Rovers was postponed due to the weather conditions. No info to hand with regard to when this round will be played. Rd 2 is planned for weekend of March 15th.

Championship Draw: The 2015 North Tipp championship draws were made last Friday night in Nenagh. In the Intermediate hurling championship we play Newport first with the winners to face Shannon Rovers. No dates fixed for these games yet.


Lotto: Our lotto draw continues every week. There was no winner of our jackpot last week so it moves up to €9,150. This week’s draw takes place in An Bonnan Bui, Ballinahinch on Thursday night Mar 5th.


Membership: Membership for 2015 can now be paid to club Registrar or Treasurer. Membership rates remain the same for 2015 at €40 for adult & €20 for students. As per document presented to our players meeting all players are requested to have their membership paid by Tuesday March 17th. We also invite new members to join the club for 2015 and particularly for our player base it is vital to have membership up to date. Also please note as a member of the GAA club you can make use of the facilities in the Handball Alley in Ballinahinch. We will be having our annual draw for a prize of €100 in early April for those who pay their club membership by March 31st


Progressive 45 Drive: Continues every Thursday night in Ballinahinch Community Centre under the watchful eyes of Dermot & John Joe Bourke.


Best Wishes: The club would like to extend it’s best wishes & a speedy recovery to one of our club Presidents Dan Gleeson who is currently recovering in hospital following a recent illness.


Juvenile: Membership requirements for the juvenile club will be in circulation in the primary school in the coming weeks.


Sympathies: The club wishes to extend the sympathies to the family and friends of Winifred Kennedy (nee Ryan), Toor, who passed away recently. May she rest in peace.
