Intermediate: The hurler’s lost the last round of the county league to Holycross/Ballycahill last Sunday on a score of 4-11 to 1-07. Despite the defeat they have topped the group, the draw for the knockout stages should be made shortly. The first round of the championship is due to take place on the weekend of the 12th April.
Minor: Newport Gaels will begin the North ‘A’ football championship on Wed 1st April against Nenagh Eire Og. Best of luck to all involved in the campaign.
Juvenile: The Juvenile club registration night is Saturday 28th March at 8pm in Ballinahinch hall and we would ask all to come along and register on the night and meet the coaches. Refreshments will be available on the night too.
U16: Well done to Newport Gaels U16 footballers in the first round of the championship. They had a great win over Silvermines. They play Burgess next on the 30th March in Kilcolman.
U12: The footballers start their campaign against Shannon Rovers this Friday in Shallee against Shannon Rovers. Check fixture list for confirmation, all support is welcome.
Lotto: There was no winner of last week’s lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 1, 4, 22, 25. The jackpot now stands at €9,450 and the next draw takes place in Killoscully (Ryan’s Bar) on 26th March.
Sympathies: The club extends its sympathies to the family and friends of Maureen Ryan (nee McKeogh) and James Doran (Caherdavin), both passed away last week. May the rest in peace.
Membership: Membership for 2015 can now be paid to club Registrar or Treasurer. Membership rates remain the same for 2015 at €40 for adult & €20 for students. We invite new members to join the club for 2015 and particularly for our player base it is vital to have membership up to date. Also please note as a member of the GAA club you can make use of the facilities in the Handball Alley in Ballinahinch. We will be having our annual draw for a prize of €100 in early April for those who pay their club membership by March 31st.
