CLUB NOTES 19th Oct 2015

Intermediate: Hard luck to all involved with the Intermediate hurler’s last Saturday. They lost the County Semi-final to Thurles Sarsfields 1-22 to 2-15. Thurles scored 1-3 without reply at the start of the game. Ballinahinch responded well and went in at half time trailing by the minimum, Davy Gleeson scoring a goal just before half time. The second-half was end to end with some great scores from both sides. Ballinahinch took the lead midway through the half as they looked to push on and win. However, Thurles finished the stronger to win out. A huge effort was put in by all the players to reach a first County final for the club, and they just fell short. They remain in contention for the league with a match against Gortnahoe to be fixed shortly.

Best wishes: The club wishes a speedy recovery to James O’Connor who underwent surgery last week, after injury earlier in the year.

Timber Auction: Club will be holding its annual timber auction on Sunday Nov 29th. Any donations of timber, turf, feedstuffs etc. would be greatly appreciated. If you can donate please contact club chairman Sean Ryan (B). All help would be greatly appreciated for the timber cutting and splitting.

Sympathies: The club extends it sympathies to the family and friends of Steven Coffey who passed away recently. May he rest in peace.
