Feile Poc Fada U-14:    Congratulations to Paul Carroll (Burgess) who won the North U-14 Poc Fada at Kilcolman last Saturday morning. Paul beat off six other candidates in a closely won competition. Michael Quilligan (Portroe) was runner-up with Cian McIntyre (Newport); Vincent Mulvihill (Shannon Rovers); Cillian Floyd (Newport); Michael Donoghue (Templederry) and Jack Delaney (Toomevara).   
 
Feile Poc Fada U-16:    Congrats to Joey Knight (Portroe) who defeated Jason Ryan (Toomevara) in the Poc fada U-16 competition staged at Kilcolman last Saturday.     
 
Feile Na Gael Hurling:    There was plenty of excitement in both semi finals played at Toomevara last Saturday.    Kilruane MacDonaghs had a ten point win over Toomevara in the first game. The second semi final between Nenagh Éire Óg and Roscrea. At the end of normal time the teams were level at 1-5 each. Extra time of two periods of ten minutes were required but the sides could not be separated and the game finished level at Nenagh Éire Óg 2-9 Roscrea 3-6. The replay will now played on this Wednesday at Ballingarry.   Throw in 6.30pm. The final will be played next Sunday April 17th    Semi-Finals: Nenagh Eire Og 2-9 Roscrea 3-6; Kilruane MacDonaghs 4-5 Toomevara 1-4; Roscrea v Newport this Tuesday 5th April   
 
Feile Skills: The North Tipp Feile na Gael skills for U-14 hurlers will probably be staged next weekend. The   date and time will be fixed at a CCC meeting this week.
 
Peadar Cummins: The Peadar Cummins U-14 Hurling panel will re group in Ballingarry once again on next Sunday. All players are due to be present at 10am. The Peadar Cummins Tournament is organised by the Borris-Ileigh Juvenile club and will be held in Borrisoleigh on May 28th Roger Ryan Tournament: Toomevara Juvenile Club will host the seond year of U-15 Hurling Roger Ryan Tournament. North Tipperary will play Mid Tipperary in the semi final throw in at 10.30 am the same time as the West Tipp v South Tipp semi final. The final will be played at 12.00 noon.     
 
U-16 Hurling Garda Cup: Holycross/Ballycahill GAA club will host the Garda Cup U-16 Hurling Tournament next Saturday afternoon. Again, North Tipp face Mid Tipp and West Tipp play South Tipp with both games to commence at 2.30pm.
 
U-16 ‘A’ Football: Burgess defeated Ballina 2-6 to 1-6 at Ballina. Nenagh Éire Óg easily defeated Moneygall/Clonakenny at MacDonagh Park. The outstanding game of the evening resulted in Newport/Ballinahinch 7-6 Inane Rovers 6-9 at Newport.      As a result the league table is as follows: Nenagh 8; Ballina 6; Burgess 6; Inane Rovers 5; Newpt/B’hch 5; Kilruane 4; Moneygall/Clonakenny 0. In round 7, Burgess have a bye but they will be waiting patiently for the outcome of the other games which sees Kilruane MacDonaghs at home to Ballina; Moneygall Gaels v   Newport/Ballinahinch and Inane Rovers v Nenagh Eire Og.
   With six teams having a chance of a semi final spot, it is difficult to call the make up of the four semi finalists.

U-16 ‘B’ Football: Three first half goals helped Toomevara secure a place in this year’s North U-16 ‘B’ Football final following a 3-10 to 2-1 win over Kildangan at Kilcolman last Monday night.

   The goals flowed in Borrisokane when Borrisokane had an easy win over Borris-Ileigh in the second semi final. Result Borrisokane 7-4 Borris-Ileigh 1-6.      No Date has been fixed for the final at the time of printing.   

U-14 ‘A’ Football:    Nenagh Éire Og and Kildangan traveled to their respective opposition venues and came away with victories to leave the group wide open after two rounds.    Results: Kildangan 4-2 Borris-Ileigh 0-5; Nenagh Éire Óg 1-4 Kilruane MacDonaghs 0-6    Turning to round 3, both Round two winners will be in opposition as Newport/Ballinahinch will host Kilruane MacDonaghs in a repeat of the U-14 Peil semi final which Kilruane won in a high scoring encounter, 5-7 to 4-2.     

U-14 ‘B’ Football    Group 1 Round 2:    Borrisokane made it two wins out of two following a big win over Inane Rovers at Gardiner Park last Wednesday. They will face Ballina in round three. Ballina had a good win over Portroe in round two also. Results: Ballina 3-9 Portroe 1-1; Borrisokane 10-14 Inane Rovers 1-0    Group 2 Round 2:      Shannon Rovers Gaels recorded their second win in a row when they defeated Templederry at Ballinderry. It was a second win for Burgess when they defeated Toomevara at Kilcolman while Silvermines had home advantage to help provide them their first win of the season in overcoming Lorrha.    Results: Silvermines 2-10 Lorrha 3-3; Burgess 3-4 Toomevara 2-5; Shannon Rovers Gaels 2-11 Templederry 1-6   

Premier 12s Football    Group 1 Round 2: Kilruane MacDonagh beat   Moneygall; Nenagh Eire Og beat Newport; Kildangan beat Ballina    Group 2 Round 2:    Borrisokane 4-9 Templederry 2-3; Silvermines 4-2 Borris-Ileigh 2-3    Group 3 Round 2:    Shannon Rovers 2-10 Burgess 3-3; Lorrha 6-1 Ballinahinch 5-2    Group 4 Round 2:    Kilruane MacDonaghs ‘B’ w/o Moneygall ‘B’ scr; Nenagh Eire Og ‘B’ beat Newport ‘B’
